My painting career began over 50 years ago in the city of Schwabisch Gmuend, Germany. This region has been famous for Art and Design since the Middle Ages. A local Fine Art painter took me under this wing and I apprenticed as a professional artist for several years afterward. In the US, I studied under notable artists in the Rochester, NY area. I have used this training to develop my own style of bright color, loose but bold brush strokes and skill in the representation of nature’s beauty. .I am enamored by strong colors and through my paintings, I reveal all the colors and beauty that nature gives us. I love to paint and I enjoy passing these joyful feelings to the viewer. My favorite subjects are Landscapes and Still Lifes. I get inspiration from the Adirondack Mountains, East Coast and the New York State Finger Lakes Region. All of the seasons of the year give me plenty of opportunity and subjects to paint. I spend time painting at these locations throughout the year.
